Winners: Pat Stevens, Melva Vivian, Stephenie Phipps(skip) Runners Up: Pam Skinner, Richard Vivian, Beryl McGrath Smith(skip) 100th Birthday Celebration On Tuesday April 13th Tura Beach bowlers, past and present, attended an afternoon tea to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Sylvia Parkes who was one of our foundation members. District President of BIDWBA, Gwen McKenzie, presented Sylvia with her 100th Birthday Badge. Betty O'Dwyer spoke of Sylvia's life at Tura Beach and then presented her with a bouquet of flowers. One of the visiting past members, Heather De Rochefort, spoke about the fun times she and Sylvia had in the early days of our club. Members sang "Happy Birthday " whilst Sylvia cut the Birthday cake given by President Dorothy. Lorna Kerr made a lovely shoulder spray for our special guest and also the flower arrangements for the main table. A great day was enjoyed by all those present.
