Tura Beach 2009 Pennant Winners

The Tura Beach Women's Bowling Club have won two State flags with the grade three and grade four Pennant teams winning at Coffs Harbour in July.

Bowlers were kept busy at Coffs Harbour from Sunday 26th until Wednesday 29th July by playing grades one, two, three and four at four different bowling club venues. The sectional winners then played for the final playooff on Thursday at West Coffs Bowling Club where Tura Beach won on all four rinks to secure the two state flags. This is believed to be the first time a local lcub has won two state flags in the same year.

State flags and badges were presented to the winners by NSWBA president Jewel Buchanan.  Jewel will be at Club Sapphire Tura on Tuesday, August 25 to unfurl the flags. District Club officials and bowlers are expected to enjoy the special day with the State President.
