TURA BEACH MENS BOWLS REPORT No 403

Pennant Bowls

Next Saturday, May 8, the matches are, grade 3 play Eden at Eden, grade 4 play Bombala at Bombala, grade 5 play Eden at Tura and grade 7 play Candelo at Candelo. On Sunday May 9 the round one matches postponed due to rain will be played with grade 3 to play Merimbula at Merimbula, grade 4 to play Bega at Bega and grade 7 to play Tathra at Tura with grade 5 being the only Tura team to have played their round 1 match.

District Bowls

Tura had players in four teams at the Aristocrat Pairs at Merimbula with Eric Maddern the best placed. Les Firth and Russell Cook finished with three wins and a draw with Campbell Connal and Ken Edwards recording three wins.

Club Bowls

Three matches were played in the Club Singles resulting in Mike Reynolds defeating David Lewis 31/21, Pat Quigley defeating Hans Pynenburg 31/17 and Graham Burton defeating Lance Lamond 31/19.

Social Bowls

Wednesday April 28

Bill Gee, Don Pope and David Manovski won with 22 points on a count back from P Radvczic and Hans Pynenburg.

Friday April 30

The Nominated Pairs went to Els and Con de Zwart with 2+9 from P and M Holmes  runners up with 2+6. The single game winners were Trevor Mort and Graham Burton with 1+20.
