TURA BEACH MENS BOWLS REPORT No 402
Pennant Bowls
The next round is set to be played on Saturday, May 8, the matches are, grade 3 play Eden at Eden, grade 4 play Bombala at Bombala, grade 5 play Eden at Tura and grade 7 play Candelo at Candelo. On Sunday May 9 the round one matches postponed due to rain will be played if required.
District Bowls
President's Singles The all Tura final of the President's Singles played at Merimbula on Saturday, April 24 went to Ross Orsborn who proved too good on the day for David Manovski.
Club Bowls
A record field of 30 plus entered this yea's Club Singles, resulting in a problem for the match committee so far as accommodating these numbers and organising markers was concerned.
In first round matches Lance Lamond defeated John Jesina 31/19, Alan Buckley defeated Don Pope 31/19, Mike Reynolds defeated Don Fergusson 31/29, Graham Burton defeated Marty Orsborn 31/16 and Ross Davies defeated Campbell Connal 31/17.
In second round matches Barry Rusling defeated Eric Joslin 31/20, Steve Davies defeated Barry Brown 31/10, David Lewis defeated Peter Wells 31/21, Mike Reynolds defeated Alan Buckley 31/14, Pat Quigley defeated Kel Duncombe 31/15, Eric Maddern defeated Bill Gilligan 31/27, Ken Edwards defeated Bill Daniels 31/21, Alan Rowlinson defeated Jack Findlay 31/25, Ron Henkel defeated Hue Smithers 31/13, Russell Cook defeated Gary Woods 31/13, Les Firth defeated Ted Young 31/23 and Ross Orsborn defeated Trevor Mort 31/20.
Social Bowls Wednesday April 21 The monthly IGA Day required a count back when two teams finished with 2+11. Ross Davies, Don Fergusson and Ross Orsborn won the day from Ted Young, Rob Pearsall and Terry Jackson. The single game winners were Marty Orsborn, Trevor Mort and Barry Brown on 1+9.

Friday April 23 The Nominated Pairs went to Daphne Nagle and Dorothy Campbell with 2+15. Les Rizzettii and David Manovski were runners up with 2+14. The single game winners were Mavis Taylor and Bill Daniels with 1+15.
