District Triples Saturday, March 6 saw the semi and finals of the District Triples at Tura with an extremely good attendance of spectators at both the morning semi finals and the afternoon final.
The morning's semis provided two classic matches with Jamey Reynolds ‘s Tathra team defeating H Blacker's Bega team 24/23 and Mike Reynolds Tura team defeating G Munz's Tathra team 23 /22 after an extra end.
These results set up an extortionary final match with the father and son clash of Mike Tura, and son Jamie Tathra skipping the finalist.
Jamie's Tathra team started strongly and after end 16 held a commanding 18/9 lead in the 25 end match. However, in what must be one of the great come backs, over the remaining 9 ends Mike's Tura team dropped only 1 shot while scoring 16 to win 25/19.
