Pennant Practice Sunday, January24 saw a well attended afternoon of pennant practice in the form of a bowls skills session conducted by Pat Quigley.
Next Sunday, January 31 in the last pennant practice prior to the commencement of the 2010 pennants, grade 3 will play grade 4 and grade 5 will play grade7, followed by the preseason barbeque to wind up the 2010 practice matches.

Pennant Practice Sunday, January24 saw a well attended afternoon of pennant practice in the form of a bowls skills session conducted by Pat Quigley.
Next Sunday, January 31 in the last pennant practice prior to the commencement of the 2010 pennants, grade 3 will play grade 4 and grade 5 will play grade7, followed by the preseason barbeque to wind up the 2010 practice matches.
If you are not available for any of these matches please inform the Match Committee.
Club Bowls The Veterans Singles got underway on Thursday, January 21 with 3 round 1 and 1 round 2 matches.
In the round 1games, Ron Henkel 25 defeated Ray Heron 25/21. Ron led 24/12 after end 24 before a winning streak of 5 ends by Ray reduced Ron's lead to 24/21 and had him looking over his shoulder. However a single shot on end 30 got Ron over the line.
Stewart Rothacker, back at Tura after seven years in Queensland, went down to an inform Don Fergusson 19/25 after leading 13/11 after end 16.
The other round 1 match produced some outstanding bowling from both Graham McGrath-Smith and Eric Josling, with the lead changing several times before being level at 23/23 after end 30. Singles on the next two ends gave Graham the win 25/23.
Peter Evans and Kevin Cox played their second round match after receiving byes in round 1, Peter running out winner 26/17 after 33 ends.
In a deferred match played on Saturday Bill Daniels defeated Toney Sawkins.
The draw for the District Fours has been made and the draw is on the board. Also on the board is a sheet for the District Triples closing Sunday, February 7.
Social Bowls Wednesday January20 Trevor Mort, Ross Davies, Warren Harding and Jack Findlay won the "Joe's Special" with 23 points from Howard Hutton, Kevin Cox, Carol Hayes and Peter Hamer on 19 points.
