Club Bowls

 The Consistency Singles have now reached the semi-final stage after completion of the remaining three first round matches on Thursday, October 8 and all second round and quarter final matches on Saturday, October 10.

Thursday’s first round matches resulted in wins to Tony Sawkins over Herb Konkel 103/56, Don Pope over Marty Orsborn 104/89 and Kel Duncombe over Jack Findlay 102/76.

Saturday morning’s second round results were Barry Rusling 100 defeated Gary Woods 96, Bill Daniels 102 defeated Bob Knight 94, Kel Duncombe 100 defeated Eric Joslin 83, Ross Davies 101 defeated Tony Sawkins 87, Alan Rowlinson 101 defeated Don Pope 89, Russell Cook 101 defeated D Manovski 75, Campbell Connal 102 defeated Hans Pynenburg 96 and in a photo finish Kevin Cox 102 defeated Ron Henkel 101.

In the afternoon’s quarter finals Campbell Connal 100 defeated Ross Davies 66, Kevin Cox 102 defeated Barry Rusling 63, Russell Cook 106 defeated Alan Rowlinson 92 and Bill Daniels 103 defeated Kel Dunconbe 93.

Next Saturday morning, October 17 in the semi-finals Russell Cook will Play Campbell Connal and Bill Daniels will play Kevin Cox with the winners to play the final in the afternoon.   

Events still to be played this year are the Mixed Pairs entries closing Friday October 16 with the first round to be played Saturday, October 24.And the Club fours entries closing Friday, October 30 with the first round to be played Sunday, November 8. Entry sheets for both events are on the board.

The Nominated Pairs went to June and John Jesina with 2+7 Daphne Nagle and Campbell Connal the single game winners with 1+12.
