The event was stableford on Saturday the 29th May, 2010 at Tura Beach Golf Club on a day that produced various weather conditions.  With showers in the morning half the field cancelled including a lot of the afternoon players, it was unusual playing in the afternoon in such good conditions with only a handful of others groups on the course.

With a field of only 67 players, Geoff Jenson was the overall winner with a fine score of 45 stableford points.  Geoff was also the trophy donor for this event and got quite a ribbing from his mates about winning his own event.  The A Grade winner was Peter Weire who also had a good score with 42 points and Paul Palacios won B Grade with 39 points.  Runners up were:  A Grade David Suckling 36 points; B Grade Rob Bell 38 points; C Grade John Humphreys 40 points.  Closest the pins were:  3rd Bill Eaton; 5th Don Bonthrone; 9th Norm Hamilton; 13th John Muir; 17th Mike Channon.  Ball winners went to 35 on a countback.

Tuesday’s men’s stableford was cancelled as was also Sunday’s mixed competition, the cancellations caused by inclement weather.

Thursday’s 9 hole competition saw Brian McKernan the winner with 22 stableford points with Peter Bridle 24 points - 4 (20 pts) the runner-up.  Nearest the pins was John Biggs on the 9th. The Ball winners went to 18 on a countback.
