Individual Stableford

On Saturday 17 April 2010 at Tura Beach Golf Club on a sunny day, a light north easterly breeze blew which kept the smoke off the golf course from the burning off at Mirador estate.  This gave us near perfect golfing weather.  We Had visitors from Mollymook, Catalina, Tuross, Moruya, Bermagui and Tathra golf clubs who used today's event as a practice round before playing their pennant finals at Tura on Sunday.

This event was the 3rd yearly stableford and the Mal Leszczynski Trophy.  With 133 players teeing off it would need a good score to win.  The outstanding winner was Arthur Laidlaw with 46 stableford points.  Arthur also won the playoff last week for the March Monthly Medal.  The A Grade winner was "Mr Consistency", Scott Deveril with 41 points and the B Grade winner who also had a good score was Brian Benne with 44 points.

Runners up were, A Grade Matt Evans, B Grade Leigh (Punter) Bedford and C Grade Ted Boyd. 3rd place getters were A Grade Andrew Kew, B Grade John Russell and C Grade Stephan Warner.  Punter Bedford had the only eagle which was on the par 5 fourth hole.  Ball Winners went to 35 on a countback.

Overall Winner: A Laidlaw 46pts

A Grade Winner: S Deveril 41pts

B Grade Winner: B Benne 44pts

A Grade Runner-up: M Evans 40pts

B Grade Runner-up: L Bedford 41pts

C Grade Runner-up: T Boyd 45pts

A Grade 3^rd place: A Kew 40pts

B Grade 3^rd place: J Russell 40pts

C Grade 3^rd place: s Warner 42pts
