Dear Golfing Member
Increase in Golf membership fees and decrease in competition fees
Membership renewal notices for 2010/11 were posted to all members in recent weeks.
Golf membership fees have been increased from $550 in 2009/10 to $630 for the 2010/11 year. However, coinciding with this membership fee increase is a corresponding decrease in competition fees from $12 to $10. Therefore the total annual fees payable by a weekly competition golfer in 2010/11 will be less than those payable in 2009/10. In arriving at these new fees the Board consulted both the Men's and Ladies' Golf Clubs and both clubs selected this option as their preferred fee structure for 2010/11.
New fee payment option for 2010/11
Following a recommendation from the Tura Beach Men's Golf Club, the Board has approved a new fee payment option for full fee paying Golf members. This excludes Junior, Cadet, Country, Pro-rata and Student golfers.
The new option is effective from 1 July 2010 and relates to the financial year 2010/11. For a fee of $1,500 (incl. GST) the member will receive their annual Golf membership and also be exempt from any further payment for regular 18 hole competition fees for the year. This excludes 9 hole events, pro's events, championship events, match play events and special events such as Tura Beach Open, Holden Scramble etc.
The $1,500 fee must be paid as one lump sum. The quarterly payment alternative is not available on this payment option nor will pro-rata payment be available later in the year.
Any member who has already renewed their membership for 2010/11 and is interested in changing to this new fee option can still do so and will receive a discount equal to membership fees already paid for the year 2010/11. However, please note any Golf competition fees already paid will not be deducted from the $1,500 fee.
For those members choosing to utilise this new option the words "GOLF Premium" will be printed on the membership card after payment.
For further information on this fee payment option please contact reception at the Club.
Yours sincerely
